Mom and Dad Gift Card/Picture Holders - 3D Wednesday

Hello and Happy Birthday to Me!!!  Today is my Birthday AND it is 3D Wednesday over at My Creative Time.  I decided to make myself a pretty Gift Card/Picture Holder out of Emma's Stitched Journal and Capture Frame dies.  I usually give away just about everything I create so I was thrilled to make this for myself!  While I was making one I figured I would get a jump on Father's Day and I did a masculine version too!
WARNING: This is a very picture heavy post!

I cut 3 frames, 2 of patterned paper for each side and one plain card stock to give the gift card holder a little weight.
Next I cut two Stitched Journal pieces to adhere together against the bottom of the frame.

I took some thick twine and wrapped it around the top to make a sturdy "handle" so I can hang the gift card/picture holder as a decoration.  Then I braided three pieces of twine which made a nice lanyard to attach the pictures.  I put jump rings on the corners of the Stitched Mini Frame die and clipped them together with a little clasp that I actually recycled from a clothing tag.   I also got myself a little money on a Starbucks Coffee Card which slipped into the back pocket, hehehe!

The new Stitched Daisy die cut fit perfectly as an accent on the back pocket.

The sentiment is from an oldie of Emma's called "Mom You Rock".  I stamped the sentiment on labels from the "Chunky Jar Accessories" set.

The Father's Day Gift Card/Picture Holder is basically the same except for the paper choices and I used Button Twine for the handle and lanyard.   The lanyard and edge decoration have 6 pieces of button twine braided.

The sentiments on this are from the "Here's Lookin At You" stamp set and the d a d are from Lowercase Fun dies.

I did a Zigzag stitch with my sewing machine to attach the pockets to the bottom.

To attache the jump rings on this I used a recycled chain from a pair of work boots. It fits the "manly" theme anyway, hehehe!  On the back of each photo frame I wrote the date and age of my children.
